Korean BBQ 韩国烤肉

Last week, we had a gathering plus birthday celebration with Soh Peng, and we went to the 1st day of Korean BBQ DOARAE at I-Avenue, Penang... 2 suprises upon enter the restaurant, 1st is all the staff we saw was korean, boss and chef was so friendly to welcome us... 2nd was no charge on kerean wine during that night, price of 1st 2 bottle from left is RM 40, 3rd bottle is RM20... and we manage to dry it all end of the day....
I appreciate the healthy way that Korean practice, they had various type of appetizers, non of those was fried, they like to manage food with stim, merinating, bake or toast... rarely fried... Name of appetizer that i can remember served that night was kimci, vegetable salad and sea weed... hehe... Nutrition of those food is good for health... I'm not sure that is promotion during 1st day or not, but those appetizer will be refilled when you finish, so if you doesn't want to waste food after they refilled, remember to stop them from refill.... As well in the bill, we don't see price of those nice appetizer, maybe they charge it somewhere in our items... or is really special promotion of 1st day...

As for BBQ portion, server is concerning about cleaniness of pan or special heating plate that used for our BBQ ing, they replace those plate frequently which we never do during our own DIY BBQ session... hehe... meat is good with rich calorie for energy... BUT...

BUT.... If you are not the type of people who always consume a lot energy, those rich calorie will become high cholestrol for you...

When some one invent BBQ for some reason, they are innovative as well to balance up the concern on high cholestrol of these tasty BBQ meat... thus they serve lettuce and garlic as well... Lettuce (生菜) is fat free and low calorie food for well balance diet. Garlic (蒜) is so famous with multiple kind of good nutrition, in this case, it plays a role in managing the high cholestrol level... That is the reason why garlic also served together with bak kut teh... Strong taste of garlic can be minimized by baking it... As well, korean BBQ also serve different type of sauce, but i'm not really study benefit of those sauce yet...

Below as layout sample of how you can serve BBQ in healthy way, after that just wrap up and dump all into your mouth... wow!!! Juicy of meat, Passion of heat, Crispy of lettuce, Exciting of garlis.... wow.!!!!!!!!!
Another good thing about this activities is you won't finish all the BBQ so fast, lettuce will also occupied some space on your stomoch... so the benifit is you get more time, more topic for chatting with your peer, and don't have to take a lot calories to feel full... those calories is not cheap...
